Learning Resource

Could your conversations on physical activity go better?
Do you sometimes struggle to start conversations about behaviour change?
Do people seem uninterested in your advice to become more active?
Do you feel frustrated that people do not do what you recommend?
Do you look after people whose lifestyle is affecting their health but feel you can’t help them?

If yes then we can help.

We are developing an accredited, structured and moderated online education platform to help you develop the skills and knowledge required to have good quality conversations with people about physical activity no matter how short or long the conversation may be.  It will take place over eight weeks with weekly objectives an opportunities for deliberate practice and reflective feedback with expert guidance. This will be the ultimate training resource to help you make the most of all the information we’ve put into these resources.

We are taking expressions of interest for the next course which will launch in 2019. Please contact us to let us know you’re interested (and follow us on social media to keep up to date with the latest).

Our friends have made some great educational resources which are freely available now online:

E-learning modules on physical activity in the treatment of long-term conditions funded by PHE are available on BMJ e-learning. A new suite of modules are currently in development through the PHE / Sport England-led Moving Healthcare Professionals Programme and will be available on Health Education England’s E-learning for Health platform in early 2019.

The UK Chief Medical Officers have produced a range of practical infographics for healthcare professionals explaining the national guidelines to achieve general health benefits for different age groups.
