Childline

Childline is a free, confidential counselling service for children and young people for anybody under 19 years old, where anything can be discussed. YST’s role has been to work directly with young people in primary and secondary schools on the cusp of a referral to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to improve their physical and emotional literacy, equipping them with coping strategies to deal with stress and anxiety. Childline

Government funded programme of support around active travel

Youth Sport Trust

YST’s role has been to work directly with young people in primary and secondary schools on the cusp of a referral to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to improve their physical and emotional literacy, equipping them with coping strategies to deal with stress and anxiety. The project uses our YST Athlete Mentors to work directly with young people suffering from stress and anxiety and to provide training, support and resources for teachers and young people to become Mental Health Champions who lead on supporting others in their schools.

Ramblers are a long established walking organisation who support walking for health and have a large catalogue of walking opportunities around the UK as well as opportunities to volunteer to support other walkers

Sustrans coordinate the national cycle network and support both cycling and walking nationwide. Their website provides information about cycling routes

Sweat coin is an app which allows you to collect coins for walking, which can be exchanged for free stuff.

Walking for health is England’s largest network of short health walks over easy terrain supported by a large network of volunteers.
